Last night I sat amongst an incredible group of women at the Telstra Business Women’s Awards feeling humbled and grateful to be there.
It’s been a very big and exciting year for L&A Social! In the past 16 months, we’ve grown from being just 5 team members to 15, and with each new member, our team becomes more adventurous, driven and excitable.
I was born and grew up in Minsk, Belarus and immigrated with my family to NYC when I was 6 years old. I never dreamed of growing up that one day I would be lucky enough to join the ranks of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards. This time three years ago my team and I discussed some of our dreams for the company, our company, and we realised last night that we achieved them all. This year we launched our US office and signed on a few incredible international clients, dream clients that even 12 months ago we thought were out of our reach. We also opened up the American branch of our agency which I believe will grow at the same amazing pace as our Australian office.
None of this would have been possible without the amazing team of people that is L&A! L&A is an expression of the values the team and I hold dear to our hearts – innovation, adventure, authenticity, and of course adding a bit of magic to the world. I’m a big believer that if you work hard, follow your vision and deliver results, the growth will follow.
Through rapid growth it has been my mission to ensure we as an agency continue to provide a service true to values we launched with – delivering strong, impactful & creative content that is backed by analytics and consumer behaviour.
The ethos we hold at L&A is to take risks and always feel slightly uncomfortable, whether it is in the workplace developing amazing strategies or after work belting out Total Eclipse of the Heart with the team at midnight. My focus has always been on creating a magical, innovative & passionate place to work and delivering value to our clients. Being the 2016 Young Business Women award winner, I hope to inspire others to really go after what they want and love – whether that is within their careers, personal lives, businesses or adventures! You’ll never know how far you can get and the amazing people you will meet along the way.
